We love Tom Petty. We love Gainesville.

 

This “one story town” is unique to Florida. It’s swampy and southern, just like us.

We grew up here listening to Tom Petty’s music and stories from friends and strangers that knew Tommy. You can see (literally, since there are several murals now) Tom everywhere you go. You listen to those lyrics and can drive past Lillian's or 441 and get a sense of what Dreamville meant to him.

We started HEAVY PETTY in 2009 for a one night only show and almost a decade later, we have fans all across the nation. We are a musical tribute band based in Tom Petty’s hometown. We have great musical influences and make the music our own while paying tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Now more than ever, we want to keep his music alive and thriving for generations to come.
